The Family

Tonight's programme could have been my family a few years ago. There have been times when myself and my daughters have not liked each other very much, (teenage years are the worst),but it does get better, and daughters can be your best friends when you no longer need to parent them.

I do agree Lulu. I've argued with my kids more since they became teenagers than I ever did before.

I saw the first eppy of this but haven't watched it since. The daughter was a real handful, sneaking out after being grounded and staying out all night.

I've read about it but never seen it.

I think as children become teenagers a similar thing happens as it did when they learned to talk. When they are learning to talk they get frustrated about not being able to verbalise what they want to say, leading to tantrums. And as teenagers they get frustrated by having their own thoughts and ideas but not being able to act on them, leading to arguing.
