This is the third thing I've heard about possible reasons why Jacko might not be able to fulfil his concert dates.

The first was this

http://entertainment.oneindia.in/music/international/2009/jackson-too-thin-060509.html, then there was the swine flu. he said he wasn't going to risk travelling and getting ill.

Makes you wonder if he ever planned to do the concerts in the first place, or if it was a publicity stunt. He'd have to pay back the money that people has paid out for tickets, but his album sales went up, so you never can tell.

I think he's making a big mistake if he lets his fans down. They're very forgiving though, considering his tendencies. :hmm:

Shocking news about his death, and only 50 years old.

Don`t think there will ever be a person quite like him
I wasn`t that keen on him, but he is a legend
A friend of mine was mad about him, and took me to his concert in 92
RIP Michael

I'm sorry he's dead but I'm not a fan. He was far too creepy for me.

I think its more the shock than anything else that has affected everyone. It was totally out of the blue.

And he has such young children, who've never got to know their mother, well one doesn't even have a mother as such, just a surrogate. They have never had the chance to have a normal life, so how will they cope now?

I think the children will have the chance of a normal life if they're placed with a normal family. Rumour has it that the Jackson family will bring them up, which isn't good news at all considering what a mess they made of Michael.

I don't know where Debbie Rowe comes into it. She signed away her parental rights and she's obviously not much of a mother if she would do this, so giving her the children doesn't seem like a good idea either.

According to the news there's going to be a custody fight between Katherine Jackson (the grandmother) and Debbie Rowe (the mum). I don't think either of them are fit to raise a child, the grandma is far too old and the mum obviously thinks money is more important than her children. I think the custody fight is less about what's best for those poor kiddies and more about controlling the money which their father has left them. Debbie Rowe is also seeking custody of the youngest one, who isn't hers.

Unless it turns out that Michael's debts are greater than his bank balance, then we'll see who actually loves these children enough to support them financially.

What has amazed me is how people in the media have changed their views on Michael Jackson since his death.

The childrens nanny is going for custody as well. At first I thought she should get it, she raised them after all. Then I found out he'd actually fired her months ago, so any claims of "Michael always said he wanted me to have the children if anything happened to him" can no longer be considered. He obviously didn't want her around his children or he wouldn't have fired her.

I hope he had the foresight to actually name someone to look after his children if anything happened to him.

I actually read the other day that there have been claims that Michael wasn't actually the biological father of the eldest child Shocked If that's true then it truly is the biggest mess of a custody battle going.

I don't think any of them are suitable role models for the children No

Slightly off tangent but another thing that puzzles me, is why do people think 'XXX is dead I must buy their record' Suspect Surely if you thought they were tht good, you would have bought the record while they were alive and could benefit from the profits.

I was thinking the same too Lou. It`s like people think he`s "better" because he`s not alive now.
Getting a bit fed up with Sky News, glued to the spot in Los Angeles, I know he`s The King of Pop, but surely they don`t need to be there every second filming.
Surely they should allow the family, friends, to at least get near his home. Sad

Wasn`t that long ago, that Sky were chasing him around when it was that court case. Can remember them with the Skycopter zooming in from above as it drove along.

I heard Katherine Jackson has been awarded temporary custody of the three children until 3rd August. Also heard she was the only one to apply for it, so I don't know where Debbie Rowe and the nanny come into it.

Now there's doubt being cast on whether either Jackson or Rowe were the biological parents of the two older children. I thought Rowe was the mother, but surely nobody believes a black man fathered those two fair-skinned children, however much his own skin colour changed.

I don't understand why he was stupid enough to lie about that, when everyone could see the proof staring them in the face. Why not just admit the children were adopted, nobody would have thought any less of him for that (well, apart from him being exposed as having an unhealthy interest in young boys).
