Breast Cancer vaccine

Post by HiJo on Mon May 31, 2010 2:55 pm

What fantastic news, that there's a vaccine going into general use within the next year or two. They're saying women will be given it at forty, I hope they don't forget those of us (ahem!) who have passed that landmark birthday.

Lou, you've got a daughter. Isn't it brilliant to think her generation will be free of this awful thing?

It sure is, what with this and the cervical cancer vaccine the 'big C' might not be as scary a phrase as it used to be.

Hopefully they will make leaps and bounds with the other cancers to.

And yup, I hope they don't forget us oldies when the vaccine comes out lol.

I agree, it's fantastic. What an amazing stride forward, all that money given to research looks like paying off.
