In case we needed more proof that some men's brains are just wired up wrong when it comes to football
A Manchester United fan killed four people in Nigeria when he drove into Barcelona supporters after his team lost the Champions League final, police have said.
A minibus rammed into a crowd, in the town of Ogbo, that was celebrating Barca's victory after the Wednesday night match.
A further 10 people were injured and the driver was arrested, a police spokeswoman said.
"The driver had passed the crowd then made a U-turn and ran into them," she added.
Barcelona beat Manchester United 2-0 in what was hailed as a "dream final" between two of Europe's best clubs.
Both teams have large fan bases in Nigeria, Africa's most populous nation.
Earlier this month, an Arsenal fan in Africa hanged himself when his team lost 3-1 to United in the Champions League Semi Final.
The body of Suleiman Alphonso Omondi, a 29-year-old Kenyan from Nairobi, was found at his home just hours after his heroes slumped out of the competition.
Police confirmed football-mad Mr Omondi was wearing his Arsenal shirt when he took his own life.
In Kenya, English clubs enjoy a passionate following among the locals.
European games, in particular the UEFA Champions League, attract more attention than national and continental fixtures.

Re: Football fans
It's hard to believe anyone taking football so seriously that they would kill themselves because their team lost. I think the man must have had other problems because that's not normal. And the man who drove into the crowd, he was lucky the police got him and not the bystanders. What a dreadful thing to do.

Re: Football fans
I find football fans absolutely amazing, it's ridiculous the lengths to which they'll go for their team.
What a horrible thing to happen to those poor supporters
