The Apprentice
I don't like any of the candidates very much, they'd step on their own grandma to get ahead. Alan Sugar is a very scary man.

Re: The Apprentice
I haven't watched any yet, but then I tend to watch after the first couple of episodes to get the real dross out of the way first lol
Re: The Apprentice
I`ve, only been into the first series, before everyone got on to it, and it wasn`t so popular.

Re: The Apprentice
Watched my first episode this week. No one stood out as being really obnoxious yet, but I think Alan Sugar chose the wrong one to get rid of, it should have been the project manager.
Re: The Apprentice
I've finally caught up with this again. I couldn't believe the last episode where those two morons got mixed up between sandalwood and cedarwood and spent £700 on fragrances by mistake.
I find them a very unpleasant group of people and although I like watching I don't care about any of them so I don't yet care who wins. It'll probably come down to who annoys me the least. In last week's episode the most annoying was Ben, this week it was the one who bulldozed everyone over the Pantsman cereal.

Re: The Apprentice
I couldn't believe they tried to sell something with Pantsman
Didn't think much of the prize that the winning team got, some sort of yoga dancing !

Re: The Apprentice
They always look ecstatic to get the prize even though none of them have been great prizes so far. I think it's mainly relief that their team didn't lose. I haven't really had much to say about it so far (other than what I posted yesterday) because I'm not finding any of the candidates very interesting.

Re: The Apprentice
Philip is standing out for me now. Last week was bad enough when he got his way over Pantsman but he hasn't learned a thing. He's still bulldozing his way through and ignoring everyone else's opinion, especially Lorraine's. She needs to be more assertive around him. He said in this episode that after what happened last week he'd decided he was unfair to Lorraine and would take on board what she said. Then the first time she opened her mouth, he's in the background rolling his eyes.
Don't these people realise they're being filmed? They look so stupid denying things we've seen happening on screen. Philip swore blind Lorraine barely mentioned the rug, yet we saw her doing it time after time and we also saw him putting her down every time. He's so horrible he'll probably win.

Re: The Apprentice
I can't believe Ben is still there
I thought the same thing when Philip said Lorraine hadn't mentioned the rug, she said right from the start she thought it was an antique!

Re: The Apprentice
I'm terrified of Alan Sugar . When he was shouting at that woman, telling her not to open her mouth like that in his boardroom again, I felt quite sorry for her. And even when I don't like certain people, I feel embarrassed at the way Alan Sugar makes them beg. I could hardly watch Ben explaining why he shouldn't be the one to go.
Makes me wonder why I watch it.

Re: The Apprentice
I think she deserved to be shouted at. She has talked down to people right from the start. It's about time she was brought down a peg or two.

Re: The Apprentice
I'm surprised Sralan hasn't been harder on Philip. I think Philip's overtaken Ben in the annoying stakes.

Re: The Apprentice
Yes he is a bit a an @rse, but I still think Ben is the most annoying. It's a close run thing though.
The girlies seem a bit weak this year.

Re: The Apprentice
Just watched it tonight n Philip's gone, and about time too, the arrogant git. What made me laugh was the bright yellow sleeping bag. I've got the exact thing, in fact two of them, in my cupboard. We used to go fishing, and about ten years ago the hubby ordered us a fishing suit each in forest green. They cost about 50 quid at the time and mine made me look like the mitchellin man.I think I've only worn it twice. We joke about sitting watching tv in them when we're old and grey and can't afford to put the heating on.

Re: The Apprentice
Lol, I could have done with one of those last night, I was freezing, but I refuse to put the heating on in May
I'm glad he's gone, although I thought Lorraine was just as annoying, she really annoyed me in the boardroom when she kept saying to the other girl (Kate I think) "I'm not listening to you, stop talking"
It's hard to make out a winner this year, none seem to be racing ahead.
Mona did well last night, so I think she'll be here for a while yet.

Re: The Apprentice
yeah. I liked Mona. I don't think Lorraine will be there much longer. Her people skills are s**t.

Re: The Apprentice
I'm so glad Philip has gone, he was doing my head in. Luckily Sralan felt the same way . I watched the follow-up programme and Philip came across as a much nicer bloke than he was in "The Apprentice". Far less cocky and self-assured. Which makes me wonder about the editing, is it all cut in a certain way to make the candidates seem different to how they really are? I suppose it is to some extent, though Philip's dislike of Lorraine couldn't have been faked.
I don't mind Lorraine (which says a lot about the other candidates) and I wouldn't mind if she wins. She seems the best of an annoying bunch so far, though that's not much of a recommendation.

I'm still not sure yet, a couple of the women have a chance I think.

Re: The Apprentice
Aw, poor Ben! I really thought he was going to cry, he was so upset.
Everyone laughed politely at their caricatures, but they were really quite cruel, weren't they? Especially Lorraine's

Re: The Apprentice
Just watched last weeks Apprentice. I think Lorraine should have gone, she was absolutely useless.
Re: The Apprentice
The interviews this week were awful. That man, Claude, what a horrible person he is. Kate probably is a bit robotic but she performed well in the interview and I think she would fit in well with Sir Alan's style. I'm not as sure about Yasmina and I understood why she was asked why she wanted to give up her own business to work for someone else. It does seem like a step back to me.
Also, I couldn't believe Debra was only 23. Closer to 33 I'd have said, both in looks and attitude.

Re: The Apprentice
I thought it was strange that they kept going on about Kate having no personality and being robotic, didn't they see her on the shopping channel the week before. I doubt anyone who was as lacking in personality as they say could dance around a studio on live TV.
I would actually like her to win, Yasmina seems a bit bitchy and nasty to me.
