car-jacking
My youngest daughter, who I have just mentioned in a previous post, has just rang us to say her car has just been stolen. She was driving out of a supermaket carpark, whenshe was blocked by another car. One of the guys got out and stated kicking the back tyres, then unexpectedly came to her car, opened the door, grabbed her keys, and told her to "get the f**k out of the car." Luckily she did just that.

Re: car-jacking
Bloody hell that's awful !! I bet she's shaken up, I hope she's ok. You just don't expect it to happen, its the sort of thing you read about but never think its going to happen to someone you know.
I bet you're upset as well, or angry, or both.

Re: car-jacking
yeah she v shocked n so are we. We are so pleased she got out cos she's quite a feisty character, but she thought he might be armed. It's only a car for god's sake. Good job you put the jiggy in Lou , otherwise there would have been an F word.

Re: car-jacking
I'd totally forgotten I'd put them in when I was messing about one day, I think under the circumstances the f word would have been pretty appropriate.
Yup cars can be replaced, people cant, she did exactly the right thing.

OMG lulu.
I hope they get the evil little.....people. It's like Lou mentioned on another thread, what's society coming to? How DARE they think they've the right to take someone else's property and scare them half to death in the process? Thank god your daughter did the sensible thing, let them have the stupid car. Hope they wrap it (and themselves) round a lampost.

Re: car-jacking
Typical They'll come a cropper one day, they'll either wrap themselves round a lamppost as Jo says (and hopefully not take anyone innocent with them), or they'll meet someone bigger and harder than them!
Re: car-jacking
How awful, sorry to hear, how is your daughter today?
I hope it doesn`t put her off anything,
Not fair is it your minding your own business doing no harm what so ever to anyone, and these scumsters, come into your life.
I know what I`d like to do the scummy gits,

Re: car-jacking
This is terrifying. I always keep the doors locked when I'm in the car by myself (and my bag in the footwell on the passenger side). But if they had a gun, the doors being locked wouldn't be much help. Hope your daughter is all right Lulu, what a dreadful experience for her.

Re: car-jacking
She's had a run of really bad luck this year. She feels very angry today, with herself for not locking the car, and so allowing herself to become a victim, but also that these b******s think that she's a weak and feeble girlie. A good friend of hers committed suicide at the beginning of this year, so she is able to put this incident into perspective.

Re: car-jacking
Oh no, what an awful year She certainly shouldn't think of herself as weak and girlie, she did absolutely the right thing. Even many of the people who teach self defence say the best thing you can do when confronted is run, only fight if you are backed into a corner.
I hope she feels better soon and it doesnt stop her getting back out on the road again.

Re: car-jacking
Lulu, I think your daughter's reactions are normal. Being angry with yourself because you should have done this or that, or wanting to do it again so you could handle it differently and get a better outcome. She's got every right to be furious but when she calms down she'll know she did exactly the right thing, however maddening it is having to kowtow to these thugs. Nothing is more important than her and everything else is replaceable. I'm sorry about her friend, that's hard to get over.
