Corrie Thread for February
Somebody must be reading this forum cos Gail made her first mention of Sally in months I'm glad Steve and Becky have made up. I thought she was pregnant but she's still drinking and smoking so I decided she wasn't. But then it's typical of Becky, a bit dim. I felt a bit sorry for Kelly. She's never really had a decent man except for Lloyd.

I'm glad Sophie came to her senses and didn't go through with the op, although I think Kevin managing to talk her out of it was accidental not deliberate
I'm not sure about Kelly, she gets on my nerves a lot because she's so selfish, but it might just be a front.

Ken is going to be sooo 'I told you so' when he finds out he was right about Peter Although a couple of mints wouldn't cover the smell of lager.
Is Betty 90 in real life then? She looks well for it.

I felt sorry for Leanne in Friday's episode, she really has tried to turn her life around.
Steve and Becky make me laugh, they're like and old married couple already.

Re: Corrie Thread for February
OMG that has to go in the worst exit ever file. How could anyone drown like that, no current to pull him under, hanging onto the side of a boat, with a raft a couple of feet away
Re: Corrie Thread for February
If I was Gail I think the last person I would have phoned would be David, he'll be full of 'I told you so' soon.
Re: Corrie Thread for February
Yes Lou, why didn't Gail phone Nick? Or even her dad? David would definitely gloat about something like this and could she even trust him to keep her secret? Poor Joe, he sank like a stone.
The Barlow plot is going well. Peter really is a pathetic character but it's true to life to make him fall off the wagon like that. Especially after he nearly killed his little boy and made all kinds of promises he couldn't keep. He's a weak character who wouldn't be able to turn his life around as well as he did, he would have to mess up again somehow.

Re: Corrie Thread for February
I think the whole Dev and Sunita story is rather silly but I must admit it's made me laugh a few times. I think Dev is far better when he's being made to look like an idiot rather than when he's being a smoothie. And I loved the comment by Sunita's auntie about her son, the professional dancer, and his highly successful friends. Like Jeff his roomate, who is a fashion designer. Only Corrie could get away with something like that, the auntie, who seems quite devious, also being so innocent she doesn't realise her son is gay.

Re: Corrie Thread for February
I think it's a shame the EE live episode has over shadowed Corrie, because there's been some good acting from the lass who plays Tina.
I guess Gail is going to be a suspect, and the couple who saw them arguing will pop up again.

Re: Corrie Thread for February
I thought Tina's reaction was heartbreaking, much more convincing than Gail's even though the younger actress has about thirty years less experience than the other.
I think you're right, Lou. Gail will be a suspect with that couple as witnesses. But surely forensics would examine the boom and find Joe's DNA on it? Then again, probably not.
I've liked David recently too. For once he's not out for himself. He seemed genuinely upset on Tina's behalf and he's even tried to help his mum.

Re: Corrie Thread for February
I agree David has been unusually thoughtful lately.
Good point about the boom, but like you say, that'd be too easy and they'll probably miss it
