Animal cruelty
There was a story in the paper a few days ago which made me cry because I just cannot bear cruelty, and cruelty to the most defenceless things makes me sick to my stomach.
Two feral teenagers came upon a four-week-old fawn which was accidentally separated from its mum. They swung it around by its leg until the leg broke, then they threw it on the ground and stamped on it. They've been jailed, thank goodness, but even so. What on earth is wrong with people?

Re: Animal cruelty
I have no idea, it's so sad that people are brought up believing that it's a normal way to behave.
Re: Animal cruelty
I'd swing THEM round by the leg and stamp on them! People like that cannot be reasoned with, if you don't know right from wrong by that age you should be kept under lock and key for the safety of the rest of us.
But I truly believe that most people would still protect the defenceless, and that teens like that are in a minority. Poor little fawn.

I try not to read stories like this because I get so angry and upset. I wouldn't hurt a fly but my reaction was the same as yours Jo.How the hell would they feel if the were swung around and stamped on? My husband is a keen photographer and often sees deer as close as three or four feet away. They are such beautiful creatures. I can't believe they could be so cruel.
