Friday 1st Aug
Ronnie is such a miserable cow, she cant wait to make everyone else miserable. Bad enough that she made a complete fool of herself at the wedding ceremony, but then she tried to stick the knife in the second her dad walked through the door. Of course it might her if the delivery wasnt so monotoned and there was a bit of life behind the voice.
The registry office bits were pathetic to say the least, no registrar would have put up with that.
I cant blame Ian for changing his mind, he has to put Peter above Billy. But he could have been a bit nicer when he told them, although that wouldnt have been the Ian we know and love

Re: Friday 1st Aug
I totally blame Ian! He's had all that time to discuss the sale of the stall with Peter, are we supposed to believe that it didn't occur to him that Peter would be upset? He looked a bit shamefaced and fell back to his old "there's no sentiment in business" spiel. And later when he gloated about Billy at 40-something working on minimum wage for his teenage boss, I was so glad to see him get the beer over his head. Poor Honey and Billy, just when things were looking up.
What was Roxy like? She has absolutely no class.

Do any of the Mitchells have class Christian was wrong with his white trash comment, even white trash have more class, Jezza Kyle would never let them near his show

Poor Shirley looked a bit miffed when Suzy waltzed into the Vic, and asked Phil for a kiss.
It made a change not to see Tanya and Jack.
I think Denise is warming too Lucas.

Denise did look like she was thawing a bit. Or at least she wasn't doing her usual lemon-sucking routine, her and Yolande are experts at that one. Natural successor for Pauline.
The boy who plays Lucas's son Jordan is really good. A likeable child character, so they'll probably turn him into a brat.

Re: Friday 1st Aug
I just watched this episode again because the kids had missed it and wanted to see if Sean and Roxy got married. I chuckled at the bit were Ronnie said to Christian "some best friend you turned out to be", thats a bit rich coming from the person who has absolutely no friends whatsoever. I think theres only Ian Beale challenging for that crown.

That smile of Christian's freaks me out. He can switch it on and off like a light.

Re: Friday 1st Aug
Yeah he does but I still like him. At first I would have preferred a less camp gay, as EE seemed to want a rival to Sean in Corrie. But he's grown on me now.
Re: Friday 1st Aug
I like Christian as well. I don't think that he's a stereotype. There are a lot of gay men who are exactly like him. I'm friends with a couple of them. I also liked how he put on a happy face for Roxy even though he didn't like her marrying Sean any more than Ronnie did. Ronnie could learn a thing or two from him. She wouldn't alienate the people around her nearly so much if she could cover her insecurities with a smile instead of a frown.

Re: Friday 1st Aug
Christian's been great with Lucy lately but I thought he had a cheek in what he said to Ronnie about "letting" Roxy marry Sean. Ronnie was quite right to point out that Christian is supposed to be Roxy's closest friend and he didn't know anything about the wedding. I think it's hard to decide what to do in that situation but at least Ronnie said it to Roxy's face instead of behind her back.
