Thurs 31st July
A so-so episode.
Sean was good again, its such a shame they wasted so many months on portraying him as just Sean the Psycho, when Rob has such a good range of abilities.
Denise has obviously bought a crate of lemons of Billy, and sucked on the whole lot before the show started
The Ben dancing storyline doesnt really bother me, its a nice filler, but thats about it.
Billy was back to the same selfish Billy that saw the family out on the street rather than hurt his precious pride.

What a great start to an eppy, Heather stuffing food into her face then spitting half chewed sarnies onto her plate. And I have a feeling she then ate the half digested food. I thought for a moment the wardrobe dept had really laboured the point by making her wear a t shirt with a whale on but it was just a dolphin.
I wonder if Denise is a bit jealous that Lucas's influence is actually turning Chelsea into a decent human being while Denise's influence made her a selfish nasty little madam.
Both Billy and Phil annoyed me tonight. Billy, as Lou said, putting his pride before his family again. And lacking any sense, saying Jack will look down on him for asking for a loan. As a father himself he should know he'd rather see his little girl married to a man working hard to build up his own business rather than one who does a series of minimum wage jobs or works on someone else's market stall. I could slap Billy sometimes I really could. Janet was a sweetheart though.
Now Phil annoys me too. It's a rule of mine, if you can afford to help a family member who needs help you do it. And Phil could have given Billy £2000 from the change in his back pocket, that sum is nothing to him.
I don't think Roxy had any right to speak to Big Mo like that. Mo had every reason to be annoyed that Roxy had let her parrot escape.

She certainly has been much better since Lucas appeared on the scene. A couple of months ago you would never have imagined Chelsea doing anything to help the kids outHiJo wrote:

I really like Lucas. He's a much nicer person than Denise. I'm surprised she won't give him the benefit of the doubt when she was willing to give the abusive Owen another chance. It's good to see Chelsea getting better. I think she needed a positive influence like Lucas. It was very irresponsible of Denise to take off on that trip with Carly just after Chelsea had gotten out of prison. She didn't even deign to tell Chelsea it was happening before Carly could announce it to everyone. She was just as bad at dealing with Chelsea as Ian is at dealing with Lucy.
Roxy and Sean were good tonight. If they weren't so obviously heading for the tragedy of her baby being Jack's, I'd think they were a couple that could last the distance. Roxy can somehow get through to Sean. I had to laugh when she delivered that line about being attracted to his insanity. Really, Rox? You love him because he's crazy, rather than in spite of him being crazy? Something tells me you'll regret saying that. She saw his fury when he was angry with Tanya, but it wasn't directed at her then. Sean really frightened Tanya. Speaking of that though, I wasn't aware that Sean's dalliance with Tanya was public knowledge. They kept it very quiet at the time. I thought Jane was the only one who knew for certain because Tanya had told her, and then Stacey had worked it out for herself because of how Sean had gotten on. Recently though, it seems like a lot more people knew they were together, including the Slaters as a whole, Roxy, and Bradley. Is it common knowledge? Did Stacey tell Roxy about it or did Sean?

Re: Thurs 31st July
I think it became common knowledge after Max spiked Tanya's drink and she ended up rolling on the floor with Sean during her birthday party.
Denise is such a pain. As J'Adore says, why give the abusive Owen a second chance yet continue to make life difficult for Lucas?
Do you think Jack's the father of Roxy's baby? I don't know how this is going to end. If Jack's the father, then Ronnie's going to know what Roxy did. Can the sisters ever be close again after that? For their mental health, a bit of distance wouldn't hurt. I'd like to see Sean get his happy ever after because I still like the character, he's played by such a great actor. But since everyone knows he's leaving and Roxy's not, it's obviously not going to work out for them.
Unless we're going to see another of EE's sensational storylines, with Sean snatching the baby and disappearing with it. It would kill two birds with one stone, allow Sean to leave on a high note and rid the cast of yet another baby with Roxy returning to the character she does best, the one who likes nothing better than drinking and clubbing.

Re: Thurs 31st July
I'm not sure if Jack or Sean is the father. I know a lot is made of the fainting etc happening to close to the dalliance with Jack for it to be his. But was it ever said that the pregnancy was the cause of the fainting? I thought that it was just an excuse to have Roxy see a doctor and find out she was pregnant. After all people faint for a variety of reasons, the pregnancy could have just been coincidental.
Re: Thurs 31st July
I think that Jack and Ronnie will eventually end up back together. I say eventually - I mean before Christmas. Just as they appear to be happy, it will be revealed that Roxy slept with Jack, that they used no protection, and that he might be the baby's father. This will send Sean off the deep end again, and he'll leave - either he'll run away or he'll die. Jack and Ronnie will break up again, but then a paternity test will end up revealing that the baby's not Jack's after all. This will leave him free to be with Ronnie again. I think that's what the producers want, because around the time Jack was introduced, the impression was given that he and Ronnie were going to be a huge couple. As it stands, they were only together for a few weeks. I think they will end up together, though.

But if Ronnie gets together with Jack wouldn't that make her just as stupid as Tanya? In fact wouldnt it make her even more stupid cos Jack slept with her sister? I don't want to see Jack with Ronnie. I thought they made a great couple but I think it's all been ruined now.
