Duchess and daughters in Turkey and Romania

Post by lulu on Sat Nov 15, 2008 2:44 pm

I've just watched the first programme, have been working all week, so just got round to it tonight. Have read lots of cynical reviews but that's to be expected 'cos it's Fergie. I was impressed by Fergie and her daughters. I thought they were genuine. What they filmed was awful, and hopefully they will have brought people's attention to the plight of these forgotten children.

Darn it, I forgot all about this one, I wanted to watch it as well Sad

What side was it on again Lulu? And I'll see if I can get it on catchup.

I'm afraid I didn't like Fergie and family in this and I felt they were exploiting those people. We had one of Fergie's girls telling us "Mummy always said we had to share her with all the other children in the world" or words to that effect, which had me reaching for the sickbag. If she hadn't once been married to Prince Andrew nobody would have heard of Fergie and I wish she would just go away. The royal connection is the only reason she was given a slot on primetime television.

The subject matter was heartrending and deserved a lot better than being used as publicity for this stupid woman and her spoiled daughters. In my opinion, of course. I tend to get a bit heated where certain members of the royal family are concerned. Evil or Very Mad

I havent watched it yet, but will probably try and catch it next week.

I used to be the same about Diana, she irritated me and I still fail to see why people thought she was so wonderful.

I must admit the comment about sharing mummy with the world's children was a bit over the top, but she has managed to focus attention on these children, and that can only be a good thing.

I was really upset by the boy who was found lying in corridors. He was actually chasing the sunlight. He liked to feel the sunshine on his face. It was the nearest he got to it because he was never taken outside. Makes you think, doesn't it? Whatever her reasons, at least Fergie was doing something positive, which is more than can be said of Andrew. He's just a waste of space.
