Where Does Max Branning Go From Here
With everything the Brannings have been though since they arrived in Albert Square its a wonder any of them are sane
I would say the move to France will not happen, otherwise we would have heard about it by now. So how are all the Brannings going to manage living in the square together, because so far they've made a pretty bad job of it!
Finally Tanya has decided to file for divorce, it was always a little strange that she didnt do so before had, well apart from that farce with the solicitor and the dvd. Any solicitor worth their salt would have told Tanya she didnt need a dvd, nor any proof of adultery, she could have just filed under unreasonable behaviour. But she's obviously found a decent solicitor now and the divorcce is going through.
Now it would be sensible for Max to start proceedings to have set contact for his children, rather than just expecting to turn up any time he chooses. But he is far too interested in getting one over on Jack to care about his children, meaning that the children will never have a set pattern or stability.
Meanwhile the other half of the Branning equation, Bradley and Stacey dont want Max in their lives, so why exactly is Max hanging around?
His ex wife doesnt want him, his son doesnt want him, his brother doesnt want him, his father doesnt want him, his sister gives the impression she couldnt careless either way she just needs someone to help with the rent, his eldest daughter is getting to a stage in her life were parents are not as important as peers (which has been shown by her complete indifference to it all), his youngest son is too young to care, so the only person who'd miss him would be Abi. You really think he'd take the hint, the only person who wants him about is the spoiled, obnoxious brat who gets all her traits from him.

Re: Where Does Max Branning Go From Here
 What a great post Lou. Just exactly why is Max still there? Even his best friend Phil is fed-up with him.

Re: Where Does Max Branning Go From Here
I forgot about Phil, yeah even he just shrugged of Max in the last episode and his look said it all, a 'FGS get a life Max' type of look.
Max is like a stuck record (for those of us old enough to remember records ) and might have been more sympathetic if he'd held his hands up and said 'I messed up, but my kids should come first', rather than try and wriggle his way out of everything, blaming everyone but himself and playing stupid mind games. Even sleeping with the solicitors secretary just to get her to steal for him.......eww creepy just doesnt even come into it, except for Tony, Max is the lowest of the low.
