Monday 15th Sept

Post by HiJo on Mon Sep 15, 2008 2:50 pm

Tony is just making my skin crawl.

"The same 12-year-old girl I fell in love with"

"I think you look lovely in your school uniform"

Ewwwwww.

But Whitney bothers me too. She's proved since the first appearance of the Jackson Five that she's a very smart girl, far more mature than Bianca. Don't paedophiles prefer to target those who are a bit young for their age and easier to control? Whitney's not easy to control and Bianca's been lucky that the girl's so cluey. But now we're seeing a Whitney totally unlike the one we've got to know over the past few months. I don't like this change of personality for her. Not just for the rather nasty sleaziness, but for the fact that she's actually betraying Bianca. Would Whitney do that? She loves Bianca, that's obvious.

I liked Bradley confronting Max about Jack's missing medal. Just shows how much he trusts his old man, he doesn't doubt for a second that Max stole Jack's property. Laughing

Yes, Tony is definitely creepy, probably the creepiest character thats ever been in Eastenders.

I know what you mean about Whitney though Jo, but I wonder if she's become cocky and mature because she thinks she's managed to bag herself an older guy, he might have brought out her self confidence (sick as that sounds).

My kids were disgusted at Tiffany though, Lauren was horrified at her using the 'f' word instead of pump, and even said 'thats because they're chavs, isn't it?' Laughing

I really dont see the point of the Pat and Peggy rivalry, especially after all this time. Why would Peggy suddenly give two hoots about what Pat does.

I thought Pat's behaviour was really childish today. Why is she suddenly baiting Peggy like this? Has something happened offscreen to bring on this crazed rivalry? And I know some people think Pat's very wise, but I've never found her to have good judgement. She fell in love with Frank, so enough said. But now we've got her singing Tony's praises in a way that's just totally over the top. He seems a nice enough bloke, helpful, puts a smile on Bianca's face, but Pat's reaction to him is just silly. He's not a god, he's just (they think) a nice man who cares about his family. If Tony's perversion was being revealed fairly soon, I'd say that's why Peggy's being brought into it, so she can be first to have a go about Pat's "perfect" family. But I think Tony's going to be around for a while yet.

I can imagine Peggy having the same reaction as she did to Mark when everyone found out he had HIV. First she'll be vindictive toward Pat and her family, then soften over time.

I did think poor Ricky when Pat said something about having a real man in the house when she was messing with the camera Sad

Tony is a sick, sick guy. I heard the other day Bianca saying Tony was around soon after Whitney's dad died and he must used that vulnerability against her. She was probably around 12 at that time which was also the time when he started to groom a very naive, scared little girl. Whitney was obviously devestated, mixed up, confused which is why and when Tony struck.

He may well have used that same vulnerability against Bianca, in order to worm his way in so quickly. We already know Bianca was sleeping around at the time, she admitted as much to Ricky, so maybe she was using sex as a way to get over his death. Then along came Tony all smary and convincing, and tempted her with a better life?

(Gosh that almost sounds like I feel sorry for Bianca, darn it, must try harder lol)

I really do feel sorry for Bianca because she obviously loves and trusts this man. And even though she's a loud-mouthed chav I also believe she loves her children and will have to put up with a broken heart and a lot of guilt when she finds out what's been happening.
