Newbies

I know its early days, but what are your first impressions of the two new characters in Eastenders?

I cant say I like Callum one bit. He's supposed to be a heart throb, and I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but he's anything but. He comes across as slimy and weaselly, in fact slimy enough to give Ian or Max a run for their money, I cant imagine why any woman would fall for him.

Danielle seems a bit more likable, but on the likes of WW she's been compared to Ruby, and I can see why. She's the naive, shy and quiet one, while Stacey is the worldly wise gobby one. So I hope its not going to be a repeat of Ruby. But at the moment she's totally inoffensive, and surprisingly enough has been in two episodes and not slept with anyone

Not liking Callum at all. He's just another bedhopping thicko, and you just know there's yet another unplanned pregnancy just round the corner. Stacey's, maybe. Danielle seems like the new Preeti if you swap Chelsea for Stacey. Since I didn't like the original Preeti and the way she treated Chelsea like a goddess cum mentor, I can't see me liking this new version any more.

But as Lou says, it's early days. Maybe a month from now I'll think Callum and Danielle are the best things ever.
