Jo Joyner rumour

I just found out about the rumour that Jo Joyner is leaving EE but according to digital spy it's not true. I like her and I like Tanya so I'm glad she's not going but I wonder what her next storyline will be? I hope it's something that doesnt involve her being wound up by her odious ex-husband or bratty daughter. I'd love to see Tanya going it alone and proving she doesn't need a man to carry her.

It would definitely have been a great shame if Jo had left, there's a lot of mileage left in Tanya. I think she would do well by herself, preferably with just Lauren and not the horrendous brat Abi.

I think TPTB realised what a mistake they had made with the burial, I think it was just a plot device to give Jake Wood an out for his paternity leave. But lot of viewers took it seriously and deemed it part of Tanya's character. But if you watch the show regularly you'd know that it was absolutely nothing like Tanya, and she's not shown any of those strong traits since.

She's a weak woman when it comes to men, she forgives too easily which is why Max walked all over her for many years. Had she dressed like Rosie used to, she would have been the stereotypical downtrodden woman.
But because she's middle class it wasnt as clear cut. She dressed as a strong woman with confidence, but had absolutely none.

What I would like to see is her ditching Jack, she doesnt need him and he's a player just like Max. Doing away with the salon as it will always be a millstone around her neck and a way for Max to lord it over her. Opening her own business, perhaps a mobile hairdresser/beautician and doing everything herself with no help from anyone.

I would absolutely love to see Tanya ditching Jack but only if it's because she needs to be on her own. I don't want to see her with a new man for at least a year! Like that would happen :rofl: the writers won't know what to do with her if there's no new romance on the horizon.
