EE thread for September
I thought to myself, if Peggy says anything about a Mitchell baby I'll be so surprised I suppose the midwives, and prison officers come to that, have seen it all before but, honestly, what a slut. Sam practically had a queue of men lining up at her hospital bedside. And Heather, please don't trust Minty.
That's twice in less than a month that Bianca has behaved well, a lot better than some people deserved. She did it a short while ago with Carol and she did it again today with Ricky. He deserved a good hard slap for lying to her and I thought it was great the way she accepted him being a father to his baby (if it is his baby). I expected a lot of shouting and ultimatums from Bianca.

Re: EE thread for September
Could they have made the screams any more ridiculous? Sounded like Sam was giving birth to an elephant.
I was surprised by Bianca and Ronnie, both very calm given the circumstances.

Re: EE thread for September
Shame to see Bianca and Ronnie fighting, when they've both got the same problem. I felt a bit sorry for Janine, not a feeling I get very often, and I did like her words to the girls at her hen night. None of them should be throwing stones considering the glass houses they all live in.
How on earth did Sam get into that slinky dress a week after giving birth? Not as much as a spare tyre. Very realistic.

Re: EE thread for September
It almost looked like Janine was going to have an attack of conscience at the end, what a pity she let herself down.
Lol, that never struck me about Sam, but you're right, it's not realistic at all. 10 years later I'm still losing my baby fat

It looked like they had the Incredible Hulk in the back of that van, I almost laughed when the doors flew open and Phil was standing there.
What was the point of nailing up the doorway when the door opened inwards?

Re: EE thread for September
The number of times the wood was ripped off and and nailed back on again in tonight's episode, they're going to have to replace the door jamb once they let Phil out. And big surprise, Phil pulls the wool over Billy's eyes. A crackhead going cold turkey is still smarter than Billy Mitchell.
Lily is a smiley baby, she's already learned to laugh at Grandma Jean.

Re: EE thread for September
I have to say Phil is a good drunk, but I couldn't help but chuckle at last night's crackhead performance, it was all a bit panto
Yes, typical of Billy to fall for his nonsense. It makes me laugh the way they're all stood with baseball bats everytime they go near him.

Re: EE thread for September
I thought someone was supposed to die in the fire. As far as I could see everyone got out.
Pretty good tonight though.

Re: EE thread for September
I thought it was an excellent episode, both for the performances and the effects. Peggy just annoyed me though, she was more concerned about "MA PUB" than the fact that a little baby and its mum were trapped upstairs.

Re: EE thread for September
Woohoo she's gone. (Although just turned over to Corrie and she's doing a bingo advert )
Had to agree with Sam for once, Peggy did always put Phil and Grant first.
I hope they make the inside of the Vic a bit more up to date. All wood bars are sooo 1980's

Re: EE thread for September
It was a very low-key exit for somebody who's supposed to be an icon. Still, I'm glad she's gone even though I'm wondering where. Sal's, probably, though she'd have humble pie to eat before she even got over the doorstep. Can't be Grant's, her passport went up in flames.
Like Ryan, I'm puzzled at Stacey's confession. Was it just because she'd made another confession to Peggy and might be going to jail, or so she thought at the time? It would've made more sense if she'd spelt out exactly what she expected from Ryan, but just saying "I thought you should know" was silly. She had two months to tell him, she didn't need to keep the news for his wedding day.

Re: EE thread for September
I can't say I'm shocked that Sam was lying, as soon as she said it was Ricky's I was suspicious.
I reckon she'll be making a play for Minty now, since she told Heather she wouldn't.

Re: EE thread for September
Jack better get back to work asap, he's got so many kids to support. It's too much, this impregnating every Mitchell woman of childbearing age. He needs to be neutered.
I do feel sorry for Billy. Even Shirley looks down her nose at him.
As for the Slaters, I'm with Charlie all the way. How exasperating that both Jean and Mo were being so stupid. They should have all ganged up on Stacey instead of walking on eggshells around her. Charlie's right, she could lose that baby because of her stupidity.

Re: EE thread for September
I love Shirley's logic. It's Roxy's fault that Phil's on crack.
SO glad Ricky and Bianca aren't having more children. They're not making a great job of the ones they've got.

Re: EE thread for September
I know what you mean, I wondered where Shirley was going with blaming Roxy!
I don't think I can stand much more of Sam and the baby, nobody is that useless or stupid. I'm glad she overheard Minty saying he wanted to stay with Heather.

Re: EE thread for September
Ergh, Sam slobbering over Minty. They deserve each other. Nice to see she's got a few human emotions though when she looks at her baby.

Re: EE thread for September
Oh, I haven't seen tonight's yet. Don't tell me Minty totally forgets what he said yesterday
Re: EE thread for September
I'm glad to see Kat back. She quite suited that blonde wig . She obviously hasn't changed much in personality, trying to pass herself off as 15-years-younger Zoe instead of Lynn who's about the same age.
I hope that's the last we see of Sam and Minty.

So glad Heather had a bit of pride and told Minty to go. And very glad he didn't go with Sam. Don't think she was too bothered, though.

Re: EE thread for September
I missed yesterday's episode (open evening at school ) so it was a bit of a shock to see Kat back, can't say I've missed her screeching
I was glad Heather finally told Minty to go, bit of a weak exit for him though considering the amount of years he's been there.

Re: EE thread for September
I do like Alfie, I've missed his cheery presence. I don't care that Shane Richie is supposed to be big-headed, I still like the character. But it looks like he's come back with a gambling problem.
Isn't Phil so nice now? What a change.

Re: EE thread for September
Phil's addictions come and go with the snap of the finger, it's amazing really.
I like Alfie, but I'm afraid I still don't like Kat, the sight of her in the mini dress, running through the market holding her bump was enough to turn my stomach

Re: EE thread for September
They must have been selling the Vic cheap if Alfie managed to buy it for £20k. Even burnt out, the shell is worth more than that.
Re: EE thread for September
I think Phil still owns the Vic but Alfie's bought the lease. I agree with you about Kat, I laughed last night at her back view when her dress only just covered her behind.

Re: EE thread for September
Oh Kat's clothes are just brilliant. I thought Roxy was bad, she looks like a librarian compared to Kat.
I hope there was no baby in the pram when Stacey and Ryan were yelling in the kitchen. There can't have been, because when the camera panned to Lily, she was smiling and gurgling. She wouldn't have been doing that if Mummy and Daddy had been shouting three feet away from her face.
