EE thread for March Empty EE thread for March

Post by HiJo Mon Mar 01, 2010 2:14 pm

I can't find it in me to feel sorry for Lucy. It was quite believable to the whole Beale family that her bratty attitude was just down to not being able to get the boyfriend she wanted, she's such a nasty little madam that it didn't even occur to any of them that there might be more to it.

I think Carol had every right to be annoyed with Billie, I'd have been furious if he'd been my son.

Billie is going to be just another loser and what's the betting both he and Carol get jobs two minutes walk from Max's house?

I find the whole Whitney and Billie relationship just so depressing. For a while it looked like Whitney was going to show a bit of sense, go back to school get some qualifications. Now, like everyone else, she's working in the market, a dead end job if ever there was one. Now she's made it worse by ditching a decent boy so she could get together with Billie. This is a young man just made for her, he's going nowhere either. Doesn't want to go to college, hangs out with gangbangers, has a gun. I think those two were made for each other.

I don't like Billie at all, wasn't keen even before his gang mates turned up.

I don't understand why Billy is stealing the post, I thought he got left something in Archies will that would see him right?

Not much happened yesterday from what I remember. I suppose it's just a quiet episode in the lead up to the funeral.

I cant understand why Tanya hasn't come back (okay I know its because Jo is off on maternity) because she always liked Bradley and was always on his side. They should have made a decent excuse, like she'd had an accident and was laid up in hospital, so at least Lauren and Abe would have been there for their dad, and to say goodbye to their brother.

Same with Rachel, she would have been there like a shot, even it it was to blame Max for what happened.

Lucy does look like a little girl lost at the moment, but it's still hard to feel ny sympathy for her.

I feel so sorry for Rachel, her situation is so much worse than Max's. Not only has she lost her only child, she didn't even have a family member or a friend there to support her. Max seemed to look upon the funeral as a good way of getting Tanya back. He was disappointed that it was Bradley's mother who turned up instead of Tanya. But I agree, the writers should have come up with a better reason for Tanya's absence because she would not have missed Bradley's funeral. I notice Max didn't allow his overwhelming grief to get in the way of his sex life. Good old Max, same as ever.

Yes, indeed, Max never changes No

Now you mention it, it seems a bit strange that there ws no one else from Rachel's side, none of Bradley's maternal grandparent, cousins, nieces/nephew, etc. Yet the people who thought he'd murdered their fmily member were there!! Bizarre really.

I just find Max so disgusting. He knows that Becca, like Stacey, is mentally ill but that didn't stop him. I don't feel the least bit sorry for him if his daughter is ashamed of him.

I was on Roxy's side, why on earth would she want her dad's murder weapon on the bar? Silly Peggy!

I couldn't believe Peggy would be so insensitive. Oh then again it's Peggy, yes she could Rolling Eyes

I actually felt sorry for Abi tonight (shocking I know), when she mentioned Bradley, she should still be able to talk about him, it's part of the grieving process.

I might accidentally delete tonight's episode. I don't fancy explaining why Becca has whipped cream and cherries on her chest Shocked

I loved Peggy's outfit, no wonder Roxy rolled her eyes. Whitney is so easily led, I was hoping she'd have more sense. Still not feeling sorry for Lucy, although at least she's smart enough to believe Ian's up to something.

What did Whitney have against Lucy, that meant she'd go and tell her secret to Leon? Or was it just a case of Whitney hates Lucy just like the rest of us Laughing

Lucas is so creepy the way he can spin so many lies, I hope he gets found out soon.

I'm not sure what happened with Peggy, Danny and Roxy, I tend to tune out when the Mitchells come on screen these days.

I haven't liked Whitney lately but I don't have a problem with her telling Lucy's secret. Leon had every right to know but also, Lucy would have had no second thoughts about telling if it was the other way around. You can't be that nasty and bitchy to people then expect them to respect you enough to protect your privacy. Lucy deserves everything she gets. The only surprise was Leon turning up and demanding to know. From what I've seen so far, I'd have expected him to get as far away as possible without even seeing Lucy.

Leon has no rights in the situation, I wonder if EE will make this clear? Or are we going to see Lucy go all doe-eyed about her baby's father and start thinking of a future with him?

I get the feeling that somehow Lucas is going to talk every round so they won't dig up the gardens. But I hope not, I find him really irritating now, and I really want to see Denise's face when she realises she's married a loser. That'd wipe the smugness off her face.

I thought Ronnie and Roxy had made up? Why is Ronnie wanting to open another bar? Bad writing on EE's part, which pubs shutting down left, right and centre, not opening up.

Roxy is stupid but she's right, she has so much money that paying about £50,000 more than Booty is worth would mean nothing to her. I loved Shirley's reaction to Phil's flowers and apology but I was disappointed she gave in in the end. I'd like to have seen him suffer for a while longer.

I'm not sure Albert Square could use another pub. For years they only had the Vic, then the Dagmar opened. But now they've got R&R too, so that'll be three establishments within spitting distance of each other. The only good thing about Ronnie opening a new wine bar is that she would have taken the young professional customers Roxy is so eager to bring to the Vic.

Did they say where Ronnie was getting the money from? I must have missed it if they did. Roxy can hardly manage the Vic, never mind any more businesses.

Will they just dig up that blooming tree, please!!

Ronnie's business partner was putting up the money but they never said who that was. I thought it might be Jack but tonight's episode made it clear it wasn't him. It was probably one of her Ibiza cronies.

How obvious that of all the places in the garden to put a fountain, the very best place had to involve digging up Trina's tree, and Owen's body. How predictable.

Phil's going to go mad when he finds out Ronnie sent Louise away. Shocked

Lou, you're right. How dare Ronnie make that decision? She's not fit to look after a child herself, how can she sit in judgement of someone else? Not that I feel sympathy for Phil, he's a terrible dad, but it wasn't up to Ronnie. I can't wait to see Phil's rage when he finds out about this.

When I said "Phil's going to go mad" I didn't expect a full blown tantrum. I think Ronnie's first instinct, to keep a vulnerable little girl away from that horrible violent man, was the right one. I loved how she didn't even flinch when he got right in her face. And I'm very glad Louise saw it. But if Ronnie was hoping to break the news gently, she should have left the photo at home. It was obvious Phil was going to see it.

Yup, go mad was a slight understatement.

I was surprised when Shirley said Phil was going to ask her to marry him, but not in the least surprised when he said he wasnt. Why she would think he'd marry her is beyond me.

It was such a silly predictable thing, it was so obvious Shirley and Heather had got it wrong. I hope Phil's behaviour, smashing the glasses and shouting, has put Shirley off him for good, but it probably hasn't. She'll make excuses for him like she always does.
