Monday 21st Dec
Why would anyone wait until the 21st before erecting a public Christmas tree? Archie's motives are to get the residents onside but if even Jean could see through it I don't think he'll have much success. Besides, I don't think people can just go about erecting huge trees in public places, the health and safety people would do their nuts. Archie would have had to request permission months ago, round about April probably.
I loved the mystery Father Christmas, nice of the writers to remember that there might be little children viewing at that time of the evening.

Yeah I liked the Santa bit too
TBH I don't care about any of the Mitchells or who owns the pub, although Peggy and Archie are still married, and until the Decree Absolute goes thorough then she can still take him for half, so she still owns half the pub.

I wasn't sure about that, everyone was assuming that Peggy signing the papers meant her connection to Archie was severed. And why would she sign Peggy Mitchell? Isn't her proper name Margaret? Surely that's what she'd put on a legal document? Like Phil would surely sign Philip.
