Thursday 9th July
I don't understand what the writers are thinking of with the Jordan plot. No children I know would want to go and live with a stranger, even if it is their mum, and it makes no sense to me. It's happened all too quickly, Trina would have had to spend a lot longer than this getting Jordan onside. He hasn't seen her in years, his dad has brought him up, he's happily ensconsced in the Trueman house, he likes Patrick, Denise and Libby. But all of a sudden, he wants to leave it all and live with the mum he barely knows. What nonsense.
Good to see Archie back.

Re: Thursday 9th July
It's amazing how quick things happen on the Square. First Jordan wanting to live with his mum, as Jo says it's all happened far too quick, and it's not even as if Lucas has been a bad father to make him want to leave.
Then Shirley changes her mind at the speed of light about Heather and the baby

I wonder if Shirley really has changed her mind, l agree with Lou it happened too quickly. She went from suggesting an abortion to arranging an adoption in just one episode. In the second episode, she went from adoption to full acceptance of being a "mummy" again. She'd have spent longer than that trying to change Heather's mind because we know Shirley just doesn't "do" little children. We haven't even seen her pay any attention to Ben in weeks, now that she's not after his dad any more.
I thought Babs Windsor looked good in this episode, I wonder if she's had some work done, real botox for instance? She looked quite pretty in a couple of scenes and it was believable the rather smooth new neighbour would notice her.
Garry was being an idiot again, taking offence and not letting Minty say a word. I don't know what I'd do in Minty's position, nobody likes that kind of news and shooting the messenger is commonplace. I would certainly lost that respect Minty seems to have for Phil though. But what will probably happen is that when this is all over Minty will forget what Phil did and go back to his old hero worship.
