Walford Men
In the same vein as the Walford Women topic, add characters or characteristics as wanted.
Ian
Good Stuggling here, help me out someone
Bad Selfish, puts money first, throws money at problems rather than sorts them out, obnoxious
Phil
Good Again struggling to think of any
Bad Neanderthal, violent, thuggish
Christian
Good Seems to had sussed Lucifer out, loyal to his sister despite Ian interfering, good friend to Roxy
Bad Often irritating and selfish, promiscuous
Sean
Good Loyal to Stacey, has a caring side, wants to be a good parent
Bad Violent, unpredictable, IMHO still holds a candle for Roxy

Re: Walford Men
at Ian and Phil.
Patrick Good Points Kindhearted, caring "grandad" and husband, proves sex doesn't stop at 50. Good friend to Jim.
Bad points Can be lazy. Cheated on Yolande with Pat. Didn't raise his own kids.
Garry Good points Decent man, loyal friend, game for a laugh
Bad points Immature. Very needy, allows himself to be taken advantage of.

Re: Walford Men
Ian
Good points: Has a better economic level than his parents did, gave Steven another chance, resisted Clare's temptation, is victim more often than villain
Bad points: Treats everyone like they're beneath him, makes promises he doesn't keep, threw Laura out on Christmas day
Phil
Good points: Loyal to his friends, wants his kids around him so he can be a father to them
Bad points: Single-minded and old-fashioned, has inherited his dad's abusive streak, doesn't know when to let something go
Minty
Good points: Generally a nice person, loyal, relatively normal
Bad points: Used to be quite nasty, hangs around Garry who is a bad influence, gullible
Bradley
Good points: Kind, generous, willing to forgive, loving, gentle, ambitious, clever, science fiction fan (always a good thing)
Bad points: Has surprisingly cruel streak, made Stacey have an abortion and then cheated on her, didn't want to hear her confession about Stax before the wedding, gullible, lets people walk over him, often so concerned with details that he misses the bigger picture
I did the first two cause there were no good points down for them! Of these characters, I like Phil and dislike Minty. I alternately like and dislike Ian depending on how nasty he's being. I dislike Bradley most of the time, but like him better when he's with Stacey.

Re: Walford Men
I disagree about Bradley forcing Stacey to have an abortion. As I've said before on old forums no one can force anyone into an abortion, no matter how hard they beg, plead or threaten. It is purely the choice of the woman who is pregnant.
Re: Walford Men
Yes, I take your point. Bradley didn't physically hold Stacey down while the abortion was performed. I do think that he put pressure on her to do it, telling her that he didn't want to raise the baby. If he had been willing to share the responsibility with her she would've kept the baby, because before he said he didn't want it she had been quite happy with the news. She didn't want to raise it alone without his support, she wanted to stay with him. During that time, Bradley was getting sick of her. He was attracted to the girl in his work, who he saw as classier than Stacey. I think she was called Lydia. Bradley really hurt Stacey. He looked down on her because she was a working class girl on a market stall, and he was a middle class banker aspiring to greater things and greater people than her. When he broke up with her, he was extremely cold. I think that Tanya wouldn't have done the burial if Max hadn't cheated on her. In the same vein, I think that Stacey wouldn't have courted Max if Bradley hadn't been so cruel to her.

Re: Walford Men
After last weeks episodes Phil has gone from thug to totally vile in my estimations. There was absolutely no need for his to behave the way he did toward Ben. Ben should have carried out his threat to move in with Ian, he's had enough abuse off Stella he doesnt need further abuse off his dad.
