			<title>Torchwood given BBC1  slot</title>

			<description>The Sun wrote:TORCHWOOD will air on five consecutive nights when it comes to BBC1.



The Doctor Who spin-off started on BBC Three and was later moved to BBC2, where it pulled in 3.3 million viewers an episode.



Its popular following has convinced bosses at the Beeb to give the third series of sci-fi drama a prime-time BBC1 slot.



And the five-part series will be aired on consecutive nights next Spring in a week-long Torchwood special to introduce it to new audiences.

			<description>I've never thought of myself as a sci-fi lover really, but I've been looking at a few of the programmes I watch or used to watch and an awful lot of them are sci fi.



As a kids I loved Space 1999 (especially the woman who changed into animals), Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rodgers, then there was Sliders and Quantum Leap, all the Star Trek series', Red Dwarf and Blakes 7, The Tomorrow People, Stargate Atlantis and of course the creme de la creme, Stargate SG1.
